The Finnish cinematographer was born and raised in Luxembourg before moving to New York City at the age of 17 where he began his filmmaking studies at the New York Film Academy. Later he moved to Los Angeles to continue his education in cinematography under Tony Richmond ASC, BSC, Suki Medencevic ASC, PSC and Jacek Laskus ASC, PSC. In the years leading up to his overseas move Anselm dedicated his evenings and weekends to working professionally for artists and production companies alike. He directed a movie theatre spot, and won a nation wide film competition in Luxembourg at only the age of 15. During his time in the States Anselm didn’t only direct short films and music videos, but pushed the boundaries of his visual storytelling as cinematographer on many productions. His work has been nominated for best cinematography in film festivals such as the Los Angeles Film Festival.

Anselm is currently based in Luxembourg embracing new opportunities as a cinematographer, but continues to work around the world.
